Depending on your personal health conditions, you may need to isolate longer. The CDC advises that everyone who has or thinks they have COVID-19 (whether vaccinated or not) should stay home and isolate from other people for at least 5 full days (day 0 is the first day of symptoms or the day of the positive test if you don’t have symptoms). You do not need to take a PCR test to confirm a positive self-test unless your healthcare provider tells you to. You should inform close contacts and follow CDC guidance for isolation and local public health recommendations before returning to your normal activities.
